The article provides  analysis of probable causes and factors that influenced transition of Japanese Fukushima-1 units to pre-accident   and  accident   condition   in  March   2011.   Force   majeure   conditions    and   reactor  design   features were   taken    into consideration along with possible causes of anthropogenic nature.
