The results of researches of zoobenthos in water bodies which are exposed to impact of thermal and nuclear power plants are presented. Taxonomic abundance and the level of zoobenthos growth largely depend on the type, design and construction features of a water object, as well as on mode and duration of the plant operation. Composition of zoobenthos in the studied water bodies was rich enough. The greatest quantitative characteristics of zoobenthos are characteristic to the average values of the investigated range of abiotic factors (temperature, depth). The communities with domination of mollusks of the genus Dreissena (D. polymorpha , D. bugensis) reveal the increase of quantitative indicators of zoobenthos. Dynamics of changes of quantitative indicators of zoobenthos in time depends on technological factors and consequences of biological invasions.
