The analysis is made of kinetics of physical and chemical processes of destruction of reinforced concrete containers
used as protective barriers in nuclear power industry. Characteristics of concrete structural materials being used, in
particular, for production of radioactive waste containers are comprehensively reviewed . It is discussed some chemical
reactions and ways of their impact on the strength properties of container material s. The kinetics is studied of the
processes of degradation of concrete radwaste containers and the analysis is made of the dynamics of concentration of
local fracture centers in concrete under the impact of the considered physical and chemical processes during the
operation life of containers.
